Customer Reviews

"Today we got onion strings that is always good and the hushpuppies were good and my husband got the fried fish that was okay BUT I got the fried shrimp that was the worst shrimp I have ever eat. My husband said it tasted like it had been soaked in chlorine. So...needless to say we probably won't go back again."

"Our experience tonight was very mixed. The food itself was excellent, but the service and interactions with staff left a lot to be desired. Our server was not patient and came across with an attitude. At one point, we witnessed her drop a drink lid on the floor, then pick it up and serve it to another customer. My dad ordered lemonade, which tasted bad; when he requested a replacement, the second one was still watered down and unpleasant before it even reached the table. I asked for a knife, and it was handed to me with her fingers directly on the blade that would touch my food. We also noticed concerning behavior toward the bus boys. Our server placed her tray of drinks on a dirty table, asked the bus boys to wipe it down, then took the rag herself and wiped it with a dirty cloth before making another comment to them. The bus boys then had to redo the work with a clean rag. In contrast, the bus boys were professional, efficient, and very quick in clearing tables--even before the previous guests had made it out the door. They deserve recognition for how well they handled themselves. Additionally, we saw the hostess nearly run into an elderly woman on her way to the restroom rather than politely walking around her. We really enjoyed our food, and I want to mention that I had actually eaten at this same restaurant the night before. The service then was outstanding, and the food was just as wonderful. Unfortunately, the service tonight was subpar in comparison. We typically tip our servers generously, but tonight our waitress did not receive a good tip. More than anything, I truly hope someone shares Jesus with her, because she seemed to be struggling. While the food was once again excellent, the lack of professionalism and poor service from certain staff members significantly impacted our overall experience."

"The food and service was always good except the past few times we've been. We've been coming here for years. But the service is becoming not so great, we understand it's hard to find good people and harder to keep them sometimes, but as the prices continue to rise, the expectations of customer service rises as well, and it's hard for a server to give great customer service if they are only 1of2 working the entire restaurant. Still my Biggest complaint is.... I never have enough room for a piece of cake!"
